Stephanie Jeanne Marie

Singapore

Stephanie Jeanne Marie

Nomadic painter working with raw pigment, charcoal, ink, thread and slow techniques, on loose canvas or paper, resulting in abstract paintings of organic bounded forms which boundaries are tested, connected, disturbed by lines, stitching, marks and adjacent open fields. Born and raised in France, the recipient of some classical artistic training through her student years, Stephanie Jeanne Marie attributes her principal education in art however, to the doing of two wonderful and eccentric elderly aunts, great collectors of textiles and antiquities, who very early on took upon themselves to educate and guide her into the wowing and “fantastic” world of history, and the art that gathered along its path. Further along, extended travels and stays, in the Himalayan region and the Indonesian archipelago, continued to inform.

Blacksy - Simona Carbone

Blacksy Blacksy is the artistic name of Simona Carbone, an Italian visual artist originally from Francavilla Fontana and now based in Correggio, in the province of Reggio Emilia. Self-taught, she has spent roughly a decade developing her practice through sustained independent study, including an advanced course in oil painting. Her work centers on large-format gestural abstraction in black and white, with the arrow as a recurring symbol of direction, choice, and identity. Each year, this essential visual language is joined by a single color piece, made as a deliberate exception within an ongoing series called “The One.” Blacksy’s work has been shown internationally, including at Casa Milà in Barcelona, Galerie Thuillier in Paris, the Three Shadows Photography Center in Beijing, Artexpo New York, Art World Dubai, Teatro Manzoni in Milan, and Palazzo Martini in Oria. In June 2026, her work Chaos was video-projected at MoMA New York during the launch of the Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea (Giunti Editore). She has been selected for the XVI Biennale di Firenze 2027, where she will present a canvas work, the sculptural installation Innerforce, and the live performance Mappe dell’Istante.
