Held in Good Company This whimsical and quietly surreal artwork explores the profound bond between a woman and her cat, and the comfort we find in caring for another living being. The exaggerated hands and feet are deliberately oversized, representing the enormous role that touch, protection and presence play in our lives. Hands are used to hold, nurture, comfort and protect, while feet represent grounding, stability and the journey we take through life. Their exaggerated scale suggests that these simple acts of connection can become much bigger than ourselves. At the centre, the black cat rests peacefully within the woman's embrace, symbolising trust, companionship and unconditional affection.
