Pieces of Me – Ceramic Stoneware Portrait Sculpture (2026) Pieces of Me is a unique handmade ceramic stoneware portrait sculpture by UK sculptor Gwenda Jones (ARBSA) This contemporary figurative work explores identity, resilience, and vulnerability through form, fracture, and surface texture. During making, the clay was pushed to its structural limits, resulting in natural fractures that became part of the final artwork rather than being concealed. These breaks reflect the pressures and interruptions that shape human experience. Layered oxide surfaces enhance the contours and textures of the portrait, creating depth and subtle tonal variation across the fractured form. A one-of-a-kind collectable ceramic sculpture for contemporary art collectors, interior spaces, and lovers of expressive portrait and figurative work.

About the artist

Gwenda Jones ARBSA is a UK-based contemporary ceramic sculptor and Three-Dimensional Design graduate. Her Figurative sculpture and portraiture explore identity, vulnerability, agency and resilience, and examine the complexities of the human experience. A 2026 & 2025 finalist in the Woman in Art Prize and winner of the New Emergence Art Prize 2026 GreatArt Award, she exhibits across the UK, with work held in private collections internationally.
