Psychedelic Paintings by Rafael Silveira Explore a World of ‘Visual Synonymies’

Rafael Silveira's psychedelic paintings, featured on This Is Colossal, offer a masterclass in challenging perception through "visual synonymies." By juxtaposing unexpected objects and organisms, Silveira invites viewers into a world where conventional understanding is upended. For emerging women artists, this serves as a powerful reminder to push boundaries. Don't be afraid to combine disparate elements, create your own visual logic, and forge a unique aesthetic that provokes thought and reshapes how an audience sees the familiar. Embrace your distinctive perspective to create truly memorable art. — Source: This Is Colossal
