V&A Workers Call Off Strike

The recent suspension of strikes at the prestigious V&A Museum, following an improved offer to unionized staff, sends a powerful message to emerging artists. This outcome underscores the impact of collective action and the importance of advocating for fair pay and working conditions within the arts ecosystem. For early-career women artists, this serves as a potent reminder: your labor holds immense value. Never hesitate to assert your worth, whether negotiating commissions, gallery terms, or seeking equitable opportunities. It’s a testament that advocating for better standards truly makes a difference across the entire creative field. — Source: Artforum
