Staffordshire-based painter working mainly in acrylics, creating colourful and expressive floral and landscape paintings inspired by nature, light and the places around me.

Statement

My work explores the relationship between colour, nature and emotion. I’m inspired by the landscapes, flowers, light and everyday moments around me, often working from memory, photographs and imagination. I’m interested in taking something familiar and allowing it to become more expressive, playing with colour, shape and mark-making to capture the feeling of a place rather than simply how it looks. Ultimately, I want my paintings to feel joyful, energetic and full of life, and to bring that feeling into someone’s home.
