Statement

In the era of digital transformations and disconnection from planetary rhythms, these works function as a visual manifesto of devotion to the organic. Using a common, deeply industrialized tool — the colored pen — I orchestrated compositions of overwhelming density, where they become a living screen, a barrier, and an altar at the same time. Hands define a new dynamic of power: man no longer dominates the landscape, but humbles himself before it. Each line obsessively drawn on the surface of the work reflects the passage of time as a sacrificial resource. The extreme patience required by the technique transforms the act of drawing from a simple graphic execution into a meditative practice, a contemporary asceticism that demands reconnection with the sacredness of the earth. Thematic Contexts of Exhibition 1. Eco-Art and the Anthropocene: Collective exhibitions that question the traumatic or healing relationship between the human species and flora in the 21st century. 2. Art as Ritual / Slow Art: Each work is like an event focused on the long-term production process, where meticulous manual technique becomes a form of resistance against instant culture. 3. Neo-Spiritualism in Contemporary Art: exploring the secular sacred, the mysticism of nature and the rediscovery of rituals outside of rigid religious dogmas. Texture and Atmosphere • Successive Overlays: Fine lines intersect in thousands of vibrant layers. • Chromatic Tension: Cold and warm tones meet deep earth accents. • Photographic Illusion: The granular structure creates a mystical, almost palpable atmosphere. hyperrealistic work hides a contemporary, deeply psychological reinterpretation of classic fairy tales. Curatorial Concept The works explore the vulnerability of the female body and the traps of identity constructed through the gaze of the other (the mirror) and through temptation (the apple). The meticulous technique of the colored pen adds a strong conceptual tension: each thin and repetitive line mimics the texture of the skin, but also recalls a constraint, an almost obsessive self-discipline. Key Elements of Concept Analysis • Reinterpretation of Myth: The character is no longer an innocent victim, but a figure trapped in a sleep that oscillates between discreet eroticism and tragic abandonment. The bitten apple representing almost an obsession in my works and the shadows carried in all the drawings suggest an assumed knowledge, not just a trick. • Matter and Texture: The contrast between the fineness of human skin and the dense, almost zoomorphic background (fur or dark vegetal texture), emphasizes the isolation of the character in a dreamlike, claustrophobic space.
