Statement

Conceptually, Halford is interested in establishing synergy between materiality, body, and space. She delights in how each object—whether textile, painting, or sculpture—can change the tone of a room or alter the appearance and attitude of its wearer. Her work explores the transformation of opposing materials into cohesive and beautiful objects, emphasizing each piece's emotive power and the varied responses it elicits from viewers. Through her sculptures, Halford crafts three-dimensional stories that resonate with her artistic vision.
