Statement

Nina Kipper is a German contemporary artist, visual designer and illustrator based in the Rhine-Main region. For more than 20 years, she has worked with companies across Europe through her brand COMYOUNICAKE, creating visual communication that connects ideas, emotions and people. This deep understanding of visual language continues to shape her artistic practice. Since 2024, Kipper has focused on her independent art, developing abstract, concept-driven collections that explore the emotional impact of today's social and political realities. Each series begins with a central question – such as how we navigate uncertainty, where we find stability, or what gives us hope – and evolves through an intuitive painting process. Working with acrylics, oil pastels and pigments on canvas, Kipper builds textured surfaces through layers, marks and visible traces of the painting process. Small illustrative elements are scratched into the paint, leaving behind symbols, thoughts and fragments of inner imagery. These subtle interventions reveal not only the finished work but also the emotional journey behind it. At the heart of Kipper's practice is the idea of creating visual safe spaces. Rather than offering direct political commentary, her paintings explore how social realities are experienced emotionally. They invite viewers to pause, reconnect with themselves and find a sense of grounding, hope and inner strength.

Commissioned artworks by Nina Kipper are individual, concept-driven works developed in direct dialogue with the client within the framework of Human Resonance.
