Statement

Statement I am an oil painter based in Frankfurt/Germany. My work unfolds at the intersection of abstraction and figuration. My paintings are direct messages, creating a new realm of immediate knowledge and feeling. They reflect my experiences, visions, longings, and doubts, infusing them with urgency and substance. Through my art, I connect to another level of my being, a sort of liberated consciousness, a spiritual field beyond words, where so much is possible. It is my connection to my roots, nature, and humanity. It is this flow that I love to follow in my process guided by intuition and completed by knowledge and experience. I like my paintings to gradually reveal all their facets to the viewer, not at first glance. My works invite exploration and discovery - they know and contain more than I do. ​ ​ Scribbling into my paintings captures poignant thoughts, associations, and memories in the moment. I mostly draw with my left hand to let my intuition guide me. I primarily use oil as my medium for its richness, softness, and profound natural colors. By the end of my creative process, oil permeates my studio and clothes, a delightful creative chaos. As German writer Arno Geiger said, “Art does not save us from chaos but from order." ​ Ultimately, my artistic vision is to create a space where viewers find the joy of freedom, solace and another way of perceiving themselves, reshaping their identity.
