About this work

A figure drifts between apparition and disappearance, dissolving into layers of fabric, movement, and shadow. Suspended against an ornate, almost dreamlike interior, the body loses its boundaries—as if caught between one identity and another, between memory and oblivion.

For the past three years, she has used the camera as a space for transformation and self-invention. Her ongoing series La Dernière Impératrice explores a woman’s authorship of her own image. She is a finalist for the Arte Laguna Prize.
