About this work

This work is hand-painted with acrylic on canvas. Despite its crisp, graphic appearance, every shape has been painted entirely by hand. Each individual color field is carefully built up in multiple layers and meticulously applied edge to edge, resulting in clean, precise lines that emphasize both technical craftsmanship and the tactile quality of painting. The Ecstatic Series visualizes the experience of the female-identified individual, celebrating autonomy, freedom, and the reclaiming of mind, body, and soul. Built through overlapping layers, the composition invites the viewer into an ongoing process of discovery. With every glance, new forms, figures, and relationships emerge, reflecting the complexity and multiplicity of lived experience. The intertwined bodies and abstract shapes symbolize the countless experiences that shape women throughout their lives. While every story is unique, these layers reveal how individual journeys inevitably intersect. Different circumstances, cultures, and identities may define our paths, yet they are connected by a shared pursuit of equality, self-determination, and the freedom to exist without limitation.
