About this work

Within my 'Fractures' series, I explore the profound yet delicate nature of existence. 'Ephémère" directly confronts the fleeting beauty of life. Through the delicate forms of poppies, I symbolize life's inherent fragility, a poignant reminder of its ephemeral nature. Each work in this series serves as a meditation on the transient moments that define our journey, embracing both the strength and vulnerability found within human experience. My creative process for 'Fractures' is rooted in spontaneity. It begins with the tracing of unpredictable, random lines onto the surface. From these initial, unrestrained gestures, figures and forms emerge, evolving organically into expressive portraits or other shapes dictated by the flow of creativity. Each piece is a singular discovery, an intuitive journey from an unknown starting point to a unique, final composition, celebrating the beauty inherent in artistic improvisation.
