About this work

The first painting of a new year always holds special meaning for me. "Here's To A Better One (2026)" was created as an emotional statement—a visual wish for hope and optimism. After a year as challenging as 2025, I felt compelled to express this desire not only for myself, but for everyone: May 2026 be a better year. Alongside health, happiness, and love, the wish for world peace has once again become deeply relevant. This expressive original painting in large format (190 × 180 cm) thrives on the dynamic interplay of forms and layered color fields. The composition is both intuitive and intentional: upward-reaching floral hints, oval structures, and sweeping lines converge in a tension-filled dialogue of surfaces, brushstrokes, and vibrant accents. Despite the energy conveyed through gestural movement, the work evokes a surprising sense of calm—as if inviting a moment of pause before something new can emerge.
