About this work

Maxima Culpa twists the familiar "mea culpa" into an indictment of institutional guilt. Across history, the Catholic Church has wrapped itself in splendour while presiding over conquest, enslavement, murder, and abuse. Given this bloodstained history through its entire existence, it is notable that the Church, to this day, remains untouched.
