STILL BALANCE - Finding Together

About this work

Finding Together explores the quiet process of coming into relationship with others - finding connection while still retaining a sense of individuality. Organic, stone-like forms gather across a muted sage ground, each with its own colour, texture and character. Warm ivory, earthy greens, blue-green, soft blush, copper and deep charcoal create a restrained yet tactile palette. The forms appear to lean, support and respond to one another, creating a shifting sense of balance. Some are firmly grounded while others seem almost suspended, suggesting the many subtle ways relationships are formed: through proximity, support, trust and shared space. Finding Together is part of my Still Balance series, an ongoing exploration of connection, support and the quiet relationships that help us find our own equilibrium. Original painting by Min Ray.
