About this work

I was painting an expressionistic floral and I wanted it to be very vibrant. I was happy with the colours and the brushwork but there was definitely something missing. I puzzled over it for a bit and then I woke up one Saturday morning and my very first thought was, "It needs a dachshund". And it did! And it's become one of my very favourite pieces as it brings me much joy every time I walk past it. I want the new owner to love it as much as I do.
