Wild Communion

About this work

Wild Communion is about community, connection and the quiet ways living things support one another. Within the piece, barren earthy surfaces give way to small emerging forms and flourishing green growth, suggesting a natural ecosystem where each element plays its part. The larger forms appear to provide shelter, nourishment and space for new life to grow, creating a sense of togetherness, unity and shared existence. This work was inspired by the intricate living surfaces found on bark and the idea that even the smallest forms of life exist in relationship with one another. Different viewers may see different stories within the composition, but for me it reflects the beauty of coexistence and the way nature thrives through balance and support. The metallic details shift gently with changing light throughout the day, revealing new textures and atmosphere over time. The piece can also be rotated and displayed in different directions, allowing new interpretations and compositions to emerge. I hope this artwork brings a feeling of calm, connection and being at one with nature.
