Statement

Katie Croft (b. 2004) is a British figurative painter and mixed-media artist. Recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London. Her practice explores the tension between internal identity and external expectation, using the human form as a site through which contemporary beauty standards are both examined and challenged. Through fragmented and distorted figures, she investigates themes of vulnerability, self-perception and the psychological impact of societal ideals.
