About this work

“Bubble” Print on canvas I was swept away by something that seemed gentle, rare, and real. For a while, I let myself believe in it— in the softness, the promise, the version of us I had quietly built in my heart. It felt beautiful while it lasted, like standing in warm light and thinking it would never fade. But slowly, truth found me. Not all at once, not cruelly, but enough to open my eyes. What I held so close was not as real as I wanted it to be. It was an illusion, delicate and convincing, but still an illusion. And so I came back to earth. Back to myself. Back with my feet on the ground, seeing clearly now what I could not see before. There is sadness in that, yes, but also strength. Because even though the dream dissolved, I did not. I am here now— wiser, steadier, and no longer lost in something that only felt real because I wanted it so badly to be.
