About this work

Emergence captures the moment we begin to step into ourselves. Standing at the liminal point of sea and sky, the figure appears both grounded and transformed, adorned with flowers that symbolise growth, renewal and the unfolding of new possibilities. The sea, a recurring presence throughout my work, represents change, freedom and the continual movement of life. Here, it becomes a threshold between who we have been and who we are becoming. Bathed in soft light, the figure turns towards the viewer with a quiet confidence, as though embracing a deeper sense of self. For me, this work speaks of personal growth, authenticity and the courage to bloom into the fullest expression of who we are. While rooted in my own journey, it reflects a universal experience: the moment we stop holding ourselves back and begin to step forward into the life that is waiting for us.
