Statement

My photography explores the profound journey of renewal, inviting viewers into moments of transformative pause and self-realisation. Using my lens, I create visual portals to a deeper existence, inviting viewers to shed the autopilot of daily life and embrace the profound present. My work explores themes of renewal, rebirth, and the potent sensation of truly arriving in oneself. Through figures immersed in elemental landscapes, I articulate the quiet power of slowing down, connecting with authenticity, and discovering the vibrant freedom found when we live life on our own terms. Each image is an invitation to feel alive, unburdened by external expectations. The creation of these works is a deeply meditative and slow process, often spanning up to a year of meticulous planning. I dedicate extensive time to researching outdoor locations where the landscape speaks to me, waiting for specific flowers or grasses to reach their peak bloom, and aligning shoots with precise tidal and weather conditions. Once this finite window arrives, I collaborate closely with models, inviting them to feel into the energy of emergence amidst soft music. I see myself as a conduit, allowing the inherent flow of the environment and the subject to determine the final form. Ultimately, my art is an invitation to pause, to feel the gentle rhythm of transformation, and to reclaim an authentic presence in one's own life.
