About this work

The painting begins at the coast, in that suspended moment when the last light hits the water and the boundary between sea and sky dissolves entirely. Waves, salty air, the horizon going pink and gold, painted not as a place but as a feeling: the irresistible pull to let go, to be carried, to become part of something vast and indifferent and beautiful. An invitation as much as a painting.
