STILL BALANCE - Teamwork

About this work

Teamwork explores the quiet strength that can emerge when separate forms work together. Organic, stone-like shapes gather across the composition, each retaining its own colour, texture and character while contributing to the balance of the whole. The forms appear to lean, support and respond to one another, creating a sense of shared weight and cooperation. Layered acrylic brushwork and tactile surfaces give the forms a physical presence, suggesting the natural weight of stones while keeping the overall arrangement gentle and contemplative. Subtle shifts in colour and texture create connections between the individual forms, allowing the composition to feel both grounded and quietly dynamic. The work reflects my interest in the relationships between people — the ways we support one another, share responsibility and find strength through connection. For me, teamwork is not about becoming the same, but about bringing different strengths together to create something that could not exist alone. Teamwork is part of my Still Balance series, an ongoing exploration of connection, support, shared weight and the quiet relationships that help us find our own equilibrium.
