About this work
“The Capability of Not Knowing” explores the possibility of staying open when no clear answer exists. For me, painting is a way to stay with uncertainty, follow a gesture, allow something unexpected to emerge, and discover the composition through the process. The painting is built with layers of coral pink, burgundy, teal, and green that intertwine with loose lines, drips, and sweeping brushstrokes. Organic forms suggest petals, foliage, and fragments of an imagined landscape but remain unresolved. Dense passages meet softer, transparent areas, creating a shifting rhythm across the surface. At 185 × 155 cm, the painting offers an immersive encounter with color and movement. I hope it invites viewers to look without naming everything they see and to find their own associations in the space between recognition and abstraction.
