Sunset Skin, winner of the Women Essence Award in Milan, March 2026, celebrates liberation—a woman stepping fully into her light, leaving behind all weight. She reclines into the warmth of a vivid, multi-chromatic sunset, her body and spirit unburdened, surrendering to a horizon that is hers. The lavish palette of teals, golds, corals, warm violets, and sun-flushed pinks reflects the emotional richness of a reclaimed life. Gold leaf sun rays cut through the turquoise sky, while her skin’s chromatic intensity mirrors the sunset’s complex landscape. A contemporary exploration of the human form as a landscape of light, merging the sacred tradition of gold leaf with the cinematic intimacy of oil portraiture. By capturing the fleeting glow of the 'golden hour,' this work seeks to elevate the ephemeral beauty of the individual into a timeless, radiant icon. About the artist

Olga Dager is a contemporary artist working in large-format figurative with a refined, tactile surface language. Her work shows technical confidence (studio-ready execution, strong composition) and a clear curatorial eye for imagery that reads both intimate and cinematic. She balances polished portraiture with painterly details—close-ups, cropped perspectives, and rich skin tones—often set against patterned, vintage-inflected interiors. Thematically, she explores intimacy, memory, and the modern feminine gaze: moments of private vulnerability, quiet domestic scenes, and charged everyday gestures that feel both nostalgic and immediate.
