A Trace of Heart

About this work

I brought together painted fragments in pink, plum, and burgundy, placing delicate washes beside darker, more concentrated marks. Collage lets me bring different textures and gestures into conversation. Each fragment keeps its own character, but its meaning shifts through what surrounds it. The layered surface reminds me of natural stone: veins of color, unexpected contrasts, and glimpses of what lies beneath. “A Trace of Heart” connects this sense of accumulation with the traces that feelings leave behind. Softness lives here alongside something more intense. I hope the work invites close looking, with small details and relationships becoming visible over time.
