BUILT ON TRUST

About this work

Built On Trust is an oil painting on canvas, 90 x 70cm, part of my collection The Path. I wanted to capture what it feels like to fall backward and know you'll be caught — the trust that grows once you understand which people in your life truly support you. To express this, I painted a woman in motion in a stone courtyard, arched back, mid-fall, arms open, completely unguarded. The stone around her is symbolic of that support — solid, unmoving, holding her even as she lets go. I painted it in earthy tones to help the whole piece feel grounded. This is a painting of a woman who has found the courage to let go because she knows she's held. I created this painting to hold that exact moment: the leap, the trust, the knowing that you're supported exactly as you are. Built In Trust is one of 21 paintings in The Path, my collection born from inner work, capturing the life that opens up once we start living with more honesty, freedom, and joy.
