PIECES TO PEACE

About this work

Pieces to Peace is an oil painting on canvas, 70 x 90cm, part of my collection The Path. I wanted to capture what comes after finally finding your place — not the joy of the moment itself, but the deeper settling that follows it, the peace of knowing the hardest work is done. To express this, I painted a woman reclining in a sunlit chair, barefoot, face lifted toward an open sea, with pieces of her past scattered on the floor behind her. Light pours into the room, highlighting a woman who has chosen that boundary with her past. This piece is painted wet-on-wet in warm golds and soft blues. I created this painting to express the choice of no longer being defined by our past. I hope it gives you a sense of the ease that peace like this can hold. Pieces to Peace is one of 21 paintings in The Path, my collection born from inner work, capturing the life that opens up once we start living with more honesty, freedom, and joy.
