About this work

Space is an oil painting on canvas, 90 x 70cm, part of my collection The Path. I wanted to create the feeling of space in this painting — the kind we feel when we have room to breathe and think, a moment of solitude to reflect on the future. To express this, I painted a woman sitting at the edge of the shore, facing the sea, an atmospheric expansive sky, and the horizon ahead of her. The horizon is an opening, not a boundary. It's the moment when a life you've glimpsed starts to feel like it can actually be yours to reach for. Painted wet-on-wet in soft blues, pinks, and gold, the sky and sea take up most of the composition on purpose — the woman has no distractions, and room to think her own thoughts. I created a sense of vastness to express the world of possibilities waiting ahead for us. I hope it gives you room to imagine what your own future can hold too. We just need to create space for ourselves. Space is one of 21 paintings in The Path, my collection born from inner work, capturing the life that opens up once we start living with more honesty, freedom, and joy.
