The Space Between - Heaven reaches past weather, past atmosphere, into the quiet that exists before language and beyond it. Where Earth burned with ochre and warmth at its core, Heaven moves differently - deeper in tone, cooler in feeling, scattered with points of light that suggest scale without explaining it. The gold does not announce itself here. It simply appears, as things do in darkness when you stop looking for them. Part of an ongoing series exploring the elements, this original mixed-media work was exhibited in The Unseen Thread, March 2026, Manchester. 48.5 x 61 cms Framed in a stunning bronze metallic finish, Italian frame and ready to hang.

About the artist

I am a mixed-media artist working from my studio in Bolton, Lancashire, trading as Quiet Thunder. My work is painted using watercolours on a non traditional background of raw canvas. Edges are left deliberately frayed to evoke a certain fragility. Hand stitch, metallic leaf and hand-stamped metal add to the stories drawn from myth and ancestry.
