About this work
Quantum entanglement describes a phenomenon in which two particles, even when separated by vast distances, can instantaneously affect one another. This work was born from that idea, and from the recognition that certain human connections seem to operate by the same invisible law, transcending space and time. Some bonds simply cannot be broken by distance. Framed in a white frame and ready to hang.
About the artist
I am a mixed-media artist working from my studio in Bolton, Lancashire, trading as Quiet Thunder. My work is painted using watercolours on a non traditional background of raw canvas. Edges are left deliberately frayed to evoke a certain fragility. Hand stitch, metallic leaf and hand-stamped metal add to the stories drawn from myth and ancestry.
