Hebe and The Eagle

About this work

Hebe, Goddess of youth and renewal, appears along an Eagle, said to represent her father Zeus. A presence of lineage, protection, and inherited power. The work reflects continuity: the passing of vitality and care across generations. Painted on raw canvas with frayed, unfinished edges that are integral to the work. Framed in a beautiful metallic finish Italian frame. Ready to hang.

About the artist

I am a mixed-media artist working from my studio in Bolton, Lancashire, trading as Quiet Thunder. My work is painted using watercolours on a non traditional background of raw canvas. Edges are left deliberately frayed to evoke a certain fragility. Hand stitch, metallic leaf and hand-stamped metal add to the stories drawn from myth and ancestry.
