About this work

In “Presence,” I explored full engagement in the moment while staying open to change. I used acrylic and oil pastel, alternating between broad areas of colour and direct drawn gestures. Coral and pink bring warmth to the painting, while pale blue and violet create surrounding space. Darker forms anchor the lighter areas. I aimed for the surface to convey both energy and openness, inviting the eye to move, pause, and return. For me, presence encompasses all these rhythms.

About the artist

Anna Rolskaya is a Lisbon-based abstract painter who works in acrylic, oil stick, and mixed media. Classically trained and color-sensitive from her watercolor experience, her work draws on floral forms and features translucent, layered washes. Her paintings have been exhibited at The Other Art Fair London and Lisbon Art Fair, and are held in private collections in Europe, the UK, the US, and Australia.
